Laws Hall ~ Room 013

..... This installation was completed during the summer of 2004. This multi-media distance was designed, integrated, and program-med allowing the instructor control of both the near and far-end camera functions by using the AMX 15" LCD touch panel. There are two Sony and one Parkervision VTC cameras mounted on the rear and front walls with two Panasonic and one Sharp projectors displaying all multimedia and distance learning content. The distance learning video-conferencing connectivity is through a campus wide IP system. Program audio is supported by two wall mounted JBL speakers and voice reinforcement audio handled by fifteen Atlas Somnolence speakers. Students participate in a distance learning session using twenty four Crown boundary microphones, when once activated a camera will PTZ to a preset displaying the student. Room audio and volume are controlled and processed with a Biamp Audia system including two Flex CM chassis with Cobranet, thirteen echo cancellation cards, multiple 2 channel mic/line cards, and power amplifier. The complete room presentation control is accom-plished with an AMX processor and touch panel.
